Episode 007 The Bennies and Merck Manual

Well a day late but out the gate I say...no rest for those that should be committed to finishing something.

I learn something every week in putting together the podcast. Mainly that audio editors are not fully appreciated! Audio editing is stressful with each popped p and s that I don't catch before posting.

This is a commercial for Miles Nervine, over the counter medication that was pulled from the market in the 1970s because of bromide toxicity. Too many people were winding up in the emergency room because of ingesting too much of the medicine.

Whole class of people developed bromine toxicity. Yikes.

Glenn Close has a non-profit organization called Bring Change 2 Mind that seeks to removed the stigma about talking about mental health issues. Self imposed secrecy makes it that much harder to seek treatment.

This is a video of her joining with sports persons of note (sorry, don’t know much about sports or sports personalities) that want to help men be  #StrongerThanStigma
